Emily Elliott

SVP Chief Learning Officer

Emily Elliott’s passion is education.  She has attended more than a dozen schools in her lifetime and has taken a little bit of each experience to formulate her philosophy for learning: Children thrive when they feel safe in their environment, secure in their abilities and supported by people that believe education is a lifelong priority.

When you ask Emily “Where are you from?” she doesn’t know quite how to answer.  She moved every three to four years as a child and spent most of her life in California.  She is a “lifelong learner” and if she had endless time and money would be a college student forever.

Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an Organizational Behavior Emphasis from California State University, Fresno, a Master of Business Administration with a Marketing Emphasis and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Los Angeles Unified School District and a Master of American Studies from Pepperdine University.

Emily has served as a teacher in both public and private settings.  She began her career with Los Angeles Unified School District at a Title I school in the San Fernando Valley.  She was a private school principal for six years and enjoys tutoring all ages of students.  The Beacon RVA is something she has dreamed of creating for years.

Emily Elliott is the proud mother to Charlie (15), Jonah (14) and Lily (11).
