The Write Stuff: Rising Grades 3-5

Class Description

The Write Stuff is a writing course designed for children in grades 3-5 who want to strengthen their sentence and paragraph writing skills. Throughout the class, students will learn how to construct clear and concise sentences, use descriptive language, and organize their thoughts into well-structured paragraphs. They will also learn about the different types of sentences and their purposes, as well as the importance of proper grammar and punctuation. Through a variety of engaging activities, including writing prompts, peer editing, and group discussions, students will develop their writing skills and gain confidence in expressing themselves through the written word. By the end of the course, students will have a portfolio of their writing samples demonstrating their progress and growth. $300 (Once you register, we will send you an invoice that you can use for payment from Learning Acceleration Grant or pay self pay directly to Beacon.) The fee also includes a individual pre-course parent meeting to discuss goals for your child. Summer 2023 July 17-20, Monday-Thursday, 9-10:30am OR July 24-July 27, Monday-Thursday 1-2:30pm
