At Beacon RVA, we’ve gathered Midlothian’s top educators and musicians under one roof to provide elite 1-on-1 support in a professional, inspiring environment. From mastering an instrument to students' very first notes on the piano, we believe strongly in meeting our students where they are and catering their individual experience to their personal goals and strengths.

What We Offer

Piano Studio | Ages 5 and up

  • Guiding students from foundational note-reading to advanced music theory, expressive and refined playing, and chord architecture. Our tailored piano instruction fosters a lifelong love for the keyboard through a balanced, relationship-first approach.​

Vocal Studio | Ages 7 and up

  • Cultivating healthy vocal technique across diverse musical landscapes. Whether preparing for competitive, high-rigor auditions, refining classical repertoire, or coaching for musical theater and show choir, our instructors elevate each singer’s unique natural abilities and stage presence.

Guitar Studio | Ages 12 and up

  • Catering to the unique musical goals and background of each student, our guitar studio offers comprehensive instruction spanning all eras and genres. From foundational technique and chord progression design to advanced stylings, whether mastering heavy metal, classical, pop rock, punk, or contemporary worship music, our instructors equip guitarists with the technical versatility and confidence to thrive in any musical setting.

Bethany Wolfe, Piano and Voice

Bethany is a dedicated professional music educator, private vocal and piano instructor, and choral conductor with 15+ years of classroom and studio experience. A graduate of Appalachian State University’s music education program, she holds active teaching licenses in both Virginia and North Carolina. Throughout her career, Bethany has directed acclaimed choral programs, including taking her ensembles to perform internationally in Toronto. She is also the Founding and Artistic Director of the Chesterfield Children's Choir. In her private studio, she blends high-rigor technical training with creative student engagement, meeting every young musician exactly where they are. Bethany is passionate about cultivating authentic mentorship and joyful artistic growth.

As the Program Director for Beacon RVA, Bethany channels her extensive background into providing an organized, communicative, smooth process for both students' families and the Music Academy's staff. Through her work over the years managing the administrative work for her own small business, trip planning for student groups, building and maintaining websites for various organizations, and a love of spreadsheets, Bethany manages all of the administrative, billing, and scheduling needs for various programs at Beacon RVA.

When she isn't teaching lessons through the Music Academy, Bethany also works as the Director of Community Engagement and Operations for Beacon's homeschool program and is the Director of Music at Southminster Presbyterian Church. Bethany loves spending time with her husband and two children, crocheting, reading, and enjoying outdoor adventures like gold dredging.

Ronnie Webster, Guitar

Ronnie is an experienced guitarist, educator, and mentor with over two decades of diverse musical and performance experience. For the past 23 years, he has played guitar across a wide spectrum of musical settings, from touring in regional bands to leading Sunday morning contemporary worship teams. Currently, he lends his talents as a member of the active rock band Lighthaven. Blending deep technical proficiency with real-world stage experience, he brings a versatile understanding of genre, spanning from rock to heavy metal to contemporary praise, directly to his guitar students.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and currently completing his Master of Divinity, his background is rooted in community and youth mentorship. He has spent eight years serving as a youth and young adult pastor and worked as a middle school counselor at the Ashland YMCA. This extensive background in youth leadership shapes his approach in the studio, where he prioritizes building strong, authentic relationships and meeting every student exactly where they are in their musical journey.

When he isn’t teaching or performing, he serves his local church in the praise band and loves spending time with his family. He has been married to his wife, Kate, for nearly ten years, and together they keep busy raising their three young children, Oliver, Forrest, and Virginia.
