Teen Makerspace Co-Op Fridays,12-2pm

Class Description

Fridays from 12-2pm This Co-Op has been a passion project for us at Beacon for quite a long time. We now have the people and plans in place to offer a TEEN Homeschool Co-Op that offers both support and social opportunities. Unlike our elementary and middle school age Co-Ops, this will be centered on creativity and art. Participants do not and are not expected to have any prior experience in art, but will be encouraged to practice art in a form they choose. We will also provide ideas for those that may need encouragement to try new things. Ms. Andrea, our lead artist, understands that this will be a risk taking venture for some and second nature to others. We will meet the teens where they are. Please have your child bring their own lunch and any art supplies they may like to use during this time. We will also have supplies on hand. There are two payment options. Each session is $25 or if your child is interested in helping with one of our weekly homeschool classes with our younger participants, they will received a discounted rate of $10 per session. Please email emily.elliott@beaconrva.com to arrange this. This session is considered our 3rd quarter. Classes go from January 12 through March 22. This includes 10 sessions.
