Math Foundations: K-2

Class Description

Math Foundations is a course designed to help struggling students build a strong foundation in mathematics using engaging and interactive activities. One of the activities included in this course is the use of Legos to teach math concepts. Students will use Legos to learn about fractions, decimals, geometry, and more. By manipulating the Legos, students will gain a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and improve their spatial reasoning skills. The use of Legos in this course will improve engagement, as students will be able to see and touch the math concepts they are learning and apply them in a real-world context. Through this hands-on approach, students will build their confidence in math and improve their ability to problem-solve. July 24-27, Monday -Thursday, 9-10:30am $300 (Once you register, we will send you an invoice that you can use for payment from Learning Acceleration Grant or pay self pay directly to Beacon.) The fee also includes a individual pre-course parent meeting to discuss goals for your child.
